College of Nutrition not only focus on teaching, but also puts efforts on research and social responsibility. The Research Centers of Nutritional Medicine and Geriatric Nutrition were established in 2016 to integrate research, development, and application in functional foods by combining clinical and basic research.

A. Purpose of establishing the Research Center

The Center was established to advance interdisciplinary research, development, and applications in nutrition; to promote integration and effective use of research personnel and resources; and to further the School’s research and application of functional foods and nutritional medicine.

B. Role and function of the Research Center

1. Integrate manpower and resources from within and outside the school in order to expand interdisciplinary nutrition research, development, and application

2. Educate people on functional foods and on research, development, and application in nutritional medicine

3. Research and produce functional foods and raw materials, and carry out commercial development

4. Conduct plans, verification experiments, approval applications, and product development for special diets, nutritional supplements, and health foods

5. Obtain approval of health foods and nutrition-related products, promote policies, and carry out government-entrusted programs and projects.
